Lucien Boullemeir (British 1877–1949) pottery portrait miniature 'Dona Isabel de Porcel' after Francisco Goya, depicting a young woman dressed in traditional Spanish attire with white shirt and black mantilla, within oval moulded metal frame, signed centre right, 10cm x 8cm & 12cm x 11cm overall. Back of frame is damaged. *Lucien Emile Boullemier was an English footballer and ceramic designer. Having played for clubs including Stoke, Burslem Port Vale, Philadelphia Hibernian in the United States, Northampton Town, and Northern Nomads. After returning to England, Boullemier took up work in ceramic painting, notably creating a line known as 'Boulmier Ware' for New Hall Pottery Company in Staffordshire.
