Living artists and their descendants within the last 70 years are entitled to receive resale royalty each time their work is bought. The right applies only when the sale price reaches or exceeds the sterling equivalent of 1000 euros and is calculated on a sliding scale.

4%  up to 50000 euros

3%  between 50000.01 and 200000 euros

1% between 200000.01  and 350000 euros

0.5% between 350000.01 and 500000 euros

0.25% in excess of 500000 euros
